Franciscan Collaborative Ministries

FCM's Service Ministries are those whose individual missions are concerned primarily with providing need-based services and provisions to the disadvantaged public. For many North Side residents, the ministries in this category provide a vital connection to the basic necessities that may otherwise be financially challenging for them to attain. Consequently, these ministries form the backbone of FCM's community outreach, and their impact can be readily identified.

Component Ministries

Franciscan Northside Ministries

Franciscan Northside Ministries predates the founding of FCM. Northside residents have been relying on the varied services of Northside Ministires for years to provide essentials like free medical and legal assistance, as well as a sense of community and family.

Assumption Food Pantry

Like Northside Ministries, the Food Pantry has existed for years prior to its' incorporation into FCM. Originally a ministry of Assumption Parish, the Food Pantry now operates as the largest non-federally funded meal distribution program in the region.

FrancisCorps

FrancisCorps is a groundbreaking program offering recent college graduates the chance to participate in a year long religious-oriented volunteer service experience. Placement sites are available in Syracuse, NY, and Costa Rica.

Assisi Education

This new ministry is devoted to enriching the education of North Side youth by providing supplemental extra-curricular academic support throughout the year. More information on this program is forthcoming.
