In this month’s update from The Franciscan Place, we acknowledge our visitors all the way from Australia, and recount the tale of a fond reunion between two friends who had been separated for nearly sixty years. They found each other while reflecting in our chapel.

FCM welcomes back Anna Hickner and Liesl Schumacher from their year ministering in Costa Rica. We briefly describe the nature of their work abroad, as well as their plans for the future.

Author, newscaster, and athlete Tim Green recently visited with the students of the Arts at Assisi summer program to discuss the importance of reading and the impact it can have on one’s life. He spent the afternoon talking with students and provided each one with a signed copy of his new book, but brought much more to his discussion.
